- Trying to decide between majors? Explore the Industry pathways on the Career Resources & Exploration Site. You can also meet with a Career Counselor for help!
- Stuck on a second concentration? Pick something that will compliment your major or explore an area of interest! (Don’t be afraid to look in other schools! Minors like Entrepreneurship, Public Administration, English are some examples but or pick what is right for you!
- Strategically fulfill electives! Explore majors of interest, take the Braven Career Accelerator, Study Away, or take a class like The Personal Essay (355:320) if you want to apply for a competitive scholarship or graduate school!
- Get organized and think ahead! The EOF Post-grad Action Planner can help. Take a look to get ideas on what you might want to do post graduation. Then create a backwards plan to figure out what you can do now to get yourself there!

- Select a professional either from your own network or use Career Connect or LinkedIn to connect with Rutgers alumni. Pro Tip: You can search for Rutgers Alumni through the Rutgers University Group Alumni search
- Find a friend! Connect with an upperclassmen in a class, club, or extracurricular who has a similar career interest. Pro Tip: Join a career centered student organization to get connected to fellow students in your desired career.

- Join a student organization to gain leadership, communication, and teambuilding skills (and have some fun outside of class!)
- Expand your learning outside of RU-N: take advantage of EOF Global Scholar Funding to learn abroad
- Interested in real-world applications? Undergraduate research is a great way to network and learn about the cutting edge of your field
- Gain credits & experience with an internship! Through the EOF Service Learning Course, we provide you with a service learning site or you can find your own. Credit may also be earned through your major or through CRE. college credit for a service internship. Get set up with an internship or find your own.
- Utilize the CRE Resources! Internship opportunities through places like Forage, allow student the flexibility of working virtually on projects with real companies for shorter periods than a traditional internship.

- Create your college LinkedIn page (Don’t forget to audit your own public social media!) Pro Tip: Connect with 10 professionals/alumni on LinkedIn then create 1 piece of content (e.g., a post about a recent project or a reflection on a class) to show yourself off!
- Create or update your resume and make sure you get feedback!
- Leverage Campus Resources to Network! Attend career fairs, workshops, and networking events.
- Create a Portfolio or Website: Use free platforms through Rutgers like Adobe Creative Cloud to create a personal website to showcase projects, designs, or writing samples.
